Autumn Leaves

"Les Feuilles Mortes (Autumn Leaves)", encapsulates fragments of images and sounds within the format of a record. These fragments come directly from a room and a view and a subsequent walk into that view. The piece came about from a simple desire to create a memento and convey something of the emotion of being in a particular time and place. In a way this piece could be seen as an elaborate photograph, in the way that photographs attempt to record experiences, but the objects and devices used here suggest that something of the experience alluded to, through images and sound is tangible and somehow available to the viewer.
